Resource Introduction: ClipChamp

You’re recording your lessons, but how about students recording their ideas? ClipChamp does it in a flash!

What is it?

ClipChamp is a streamlined video recorder that will work on Chromebooks. It links to an onboard webcam and microphone to record video and audio and download that capture into a file for your use. On a Chromebook, you can save the file directly to your Google Drive. A desktop functions just as easily with downloading to the hard drive.

How can I use it?

ClipChamp is simpler than Screencastify or MoveNote, so use it for simple recording. Would you like students to record themselves reading or speaking? Use this. Would you like students to record discussions? Use this. This is your go-to recorder for simple applications. Just go to the home page and start recording. It’s that simple!

Are you or someone you know using this? Notify us, and we’ll post your or their name here as a building expert! Email to aclarkson@sylvaniaschools.org.
